enjoying the sound of rain on my umbrella, alone in the middle of a light art installation. peaceful and beautiful.

in order:

1. got to montréal and ended up with a top floor corner hotel room with awesome views and three TVs. just why?
2. set up a router here before taking off my shoes.
3. what’s been on tv (dubbed into quebecois français): american dad—even roger’s affectation was cast extra-flamboyant; south park—something is lost with different voice actors, especially cartman; les simpson. i forgot i was looking for CBC/SRC news.

also, had a minor scarf-luggage-zipper fiasco on the express bus from the airport and three canadians jumped to my rescue. it could have been nothing, really. then i was asked about my accent. i reluctantly said “californian”. i love canadians!
